Passports & Visas

British Nationals require a full 10 year passport.  All children under 16 including infants also now require their own passport.  For more information and details on current fees please visit www.ips.gov.uk

Holders of non-EEC passports require a visa, which may take up to six weeks from the French Consulate (French Consulate General, Visa section, 6A Cromwell Road, London SW7).  Please note visas cannot be obtained in advance from your local consular offices, nor at the border on arrival in France.

What To Take

To set you up on arrival it may be useful to bring tea, coffee, sugar, powdered milk, matches, lavatory paper, salt and pepper. If you think you may arrive on site after 21.00 it may prove difficult to get an evening meal or any supplies. We recommend shopping in one of the many hypermarkets or supermarkets en route.

Other useful items to bring: Tea towels, first aid kit, pegs, washing line, torch, coat hangers, sun shade for beach (patio parasol not suitable), safety pins, alarm clock, radio, "Waspeze" or equivalent, insect repellent, Calpol or Junior Dispirin or equivalent if travelling with younger children.

Don’t forget Bed linen and towels.  These are available for hire, however these must be booked at least 3 weeks before departure.  We provide blankets and pillows in all the mobile homes
The EHIC is the replacement for the E111. As of 1 January 2006, E111s were no longer  valid.

The EHIC can be used to cover any necessary medical treatment due to either an accident or illness within the European Economic Area (EEA). The card entitles the holder to state-provided medical treatment within the country they are visiting and the service provided will be the same as received by a person covered by the country's 'insured' medical scheme. You are advised to obtain a EHIC card for all elidgeable party members.  Many insurance companies will waive the excess charge on a medical expense claim which has been reduced by using recipricol health arrangements
