The magnificent lake at Biscarrosse continues our theme of beach side holidays. Whilst vast in size (8 x 6 miles) its warm, clear waters encourage safe bathing and its white, sandy beaches are more reminiscent of the Caribbean, with the spectacular Atlantic beach just 4 miles away.

Family Campsite

Why not hire an inexpensive motor boat and explore superb beaches inaccessible by car or use the excellent cycle paths around the lake to fully appreciate its splendour?

Friendly French Campsite

This small, family-run campsite is, without doubt, the most beautiful we have seen in France. Resting close to the edge of the lake, this tranquil site, set amidst shady trees, will be ideal for families wishing to relax in a friendly and truly unspoilt French atmosphere. In the evening, enjoy a meal in the excellent site restaurant overlooking the beautifully illuminated pools and gardens.

Bordeaux and Aquitaine

The area is one of the most interesting in France. From nearby Bordeaux, a city rich in history, or the picturesque village of St Emilion, famous for its wine, to the stylish yachting centre of Arcachon with its many pavement cafes, restaurants, boutiques and casino, and the wave pools and water chutes of the Aquacity Fun Park, there is something for everybody.
