So what makes camping in France so enjoyable?

The weather in France is superb for camping.

Brittany, the Vendee and the south-west of France enjoy fantastic weather, have beautiful scenery and beaches and offer something for all the family.

Camping is great for the children

Camping holidays give children of all ages the freedom to enjoy superb sandy beaches, explore in rock pools, hurtle down exciting water slides into lagoon style swimming pools, cycle along quiet and safe cycle tracks, mix with new friends at kids club and sample the local food in nearby restaurants with Mum and Dad. Maybe then onto an evening of family style entertainment in the friendly campsite bar.

The more energetic older children and teenagers can take part in some of the sporting activities on offer on the campsites, football, tennis tournaments, water sports like surfing and body boarding.

France is not that far away

The journeys to the campsites are stress free, no airport security and luggage restrictions, the kids can take all their favourite things in the car, shorts, tee shirts and swimsuits are all that is needed to enjoy more sunshine than the Mediterranean.

Sightseeing in the Morbihan area for historic towns and cities such as medeival Vannes and Concarneau or visit the intriguing standing stones of Carnac, one of the highlights of a holiday to the Breton region of France. Western Brittany is an ideal camping location for all ages and makes walking holidays a pleasure either on the scenic beaches or inland in the rolling green hills. Take a day out to visit the reconstruction of the 18th century French village at the Puy de Fou and stay for the spectacular evening show, held outside with a cast of around 900 and 50 horses, wonderful holiday memories to remember and share. Lunch on the promanade at Archchon opposite the Gironde and watch the people go by, a really enjoyable location for a holiday lunch. Visit the Dune de Pyla, a spectacular view from the top, well worth the climb, of the Atlantic ocean and the Landes regin of France. If your holiday is water based then Biscarrosse is for you, too many watersports on offer to mention from the beaches of our campsites lake, from sailing boats to parascending, from inflatibles for children to waterskiing- truly a water lovers holiday dream. The Aquitaine region also has miles of cycle tracks for you to enjoy through forests or along the lakeside beaches, take you own bikes on holiday with you or hire them from your campsite, our mobile homes have plenty of space outside for the bikes.

Camping in Biarritz – Messanges Campsite

As a holiday destination Messanges in southern Aquitaine, Landes, offers everything for a family holiday. From your holiday accommodation wisit Biarittz, a famous and very popular French holiday destination. Situated along side the Atlantic it is both cosmopolitan and historical, vibrant and entertaining; something for the whole family. A day trip to the Pyrenees-Atlantique or Gers regions introduces the famous mountainous region where the shrine at Lourdes is visited annually by thousands. From your campsite enjoy the waves on the Atlantic beaches and remember all the pools and activities available from your chosen campsite. Enjoy a horse ride through deep pine forests or for the more experienced a gallop across the beach.
