Getting there - Ferries

With sailings times of only 90 minutes, 24 hours a day, for 365 days of the year and up to 45 crossings a day, you have the flexibility to plan your journey around times that suit you. Our Brittany and Vendee sites sites are between 6 & 7 hours drive from Calais so within an easy day's drive.

We would recommend a Sunday morning crossing (Portsmouth to Caen 08.15) for a lunchtime arrival in France, leaving you with a leisurely 4 hour drive to our magnificent Brittany and Vendee sites and return Caen - Portsmouth on the 16.30 crossing for an evening arrival in Portsmouth, completing your travel all in one day.

Sunday is the best day to travel in France as lorries are banned.

With its own motorway junction access to the Passenger Terminal couldn't be simpler. Prior to boarding the shuttle, you will pass through both UK and French customs which means that on arrival in France, you simply drive off the shuttle and onto the European motorway network.
