The French city of Biarritz has become a popular holiday destination among young people in recent years due to its embracing of water sports.
Indeed, every year, loads of people from all over Europe head here to take advantage of the great surf on offer.
But if you've never before travelled to this charming area of France you're unlikely to be fully aware of the best places to go during your visit.
The city is home to an impressive number of surf shops and board rental outlets, which means that it's a great destination to visit regardless of whether you're an experience surfer or new to the sport.
In fact, there are around ten surfing clubs in the city and they welcome people of all ability levels. So if you see your camping holiday in France as offering the perfect excuse to polish your board skills, then one of these is definitely worth visiting.
It's worth noting, too, that a number of the top surfing brands are located in and around the city, including Quicksilver, Billabong and Rip Curl.
The great thing about Biarritz, though, is that unlike some alternative surfing destinations, the city also has plenty of alternative attractions to keep you entertained.
There are, for example, a number of exciting nightclubs in the area that are frequently visited by young people who are keen to enjoy the charms of the city.
For something a little more cerebral, however, why not take a trip to one of the many great art galleries in the area?
Among the best of these is Galerie Mazagran, which lends itself to the contemplation of Cristo Lorini’s works of art.
