The French region of Vendee is understandably proud of its impressive array of beautiful beaches, which are a major attraction to holidaymakers from the UK and elsewhere.
While there is much to see and do in the way of culture in this area of France, it is, indisputably, the golden sands that help to make it a top destination for tourists.
Regardless of whether you’re seeking a relaxing break or an action-filled holiday, the region is the perfect destination for you.
Here, we’re going to look at some of the best beaches in the region…
If you’re looking for a picturesque setting in which to enjoy a camping holiday in France, then there can be few, if any, destinations that can compare to Les Conches.
The beach is hugely popular with surfers, owing to the fact that the surf here can, on a given day, match elsewhere in Europe.
What’s more, the expansive beach is ideal for young kids, who will be keen to play games and generally have fun on the sand.
Although the town itself is some way removed from the coast, there are some charming beaches just waiting to be discovered in Brem-Sur-Mer.
There are multiple beaches in this area, so you have a nice selection to choose from. And once again, this is a great location in which to go surfing or to play on the sand.
Alongside these activities, Vendee is also ideal for fishing and the activity is supported by the local authorities.
The area is home to lots of canals and rivers, so there’s plenty of scope for getting on the water and catching some fish.
There are, of course, loads of other great beaches besides, but hopefully you’ve got a flavour of what there is to see and do in Vendee.
