Western Europe isn't exactly known as a hotbed for animal-watching, but there is plenty of scope to do exactly that in the Brittany region of France, which boasts an impressive array of wildlife.
The region is home to lots of beautiful beaches that are great if you're a fan of windsurfing or even if you fancy just relaxing on the golden sand.
However, there's also scope to enjoy some less obvious activities, like watching bottle-nosed dolphins. If this sort of activity tickles your fancy, then you may wish to visit Port Mer.
From here, you can easily jump on board a boat and head out into the ocean in search of some of the most spectacular animals you're likely to encounter.
All you need to do is to take a relatively short trip out to the English Channel and wait to spot the many bottle-nosed dolphins that are found in this part of the water.
There's the opportunity to take some impressive shots of the spectacular animals - not the sort of activity you get to enjoy very often.
It might well be that you have to follow a small number of dolphins for a concerted period of time before you are able to get close to them and get that once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity.
And even if you're not lucky enough to get a glimpse of these beautiful creatures on your travels, you can console yourself with the spectacular scenery and the fresh sea air.
And from the boat, of course, you can easily be transported to one of the many beautiful beaches in the region where you can relax and unwind.
Take in a few sunrays, even, and reminisce about your memorable day on the water. There really is loads to see and do on a camping holiday in France, but few activities can compare to dolphin watching.
