Whilst some people enjoy the opportunity to unwind on a beach holiday, others relish the opportunity to indulge in new activities. A holiday in our Brittany Campsite in La Foret Fouesnant offers you the chance to enjoy both.
Located between a forest and the ocean, on the banks of the Saint Laurent rive, it is a short walk from your pitch to beautiful beaches and coves which are ideal for relaxing.
The pitches themselves are spacious and separated by hedges, to offer a degree of privacy. Many visitors simply enjoy the prospect of a chair on the deck of their mobile home, a good book and a refreshing drink. There is also a swimming complex on the site with loungers positioned around the pools.
If you chose to venture into La Foret Fouesnant, you can enjoy browsing around the shops and weekly markets, or sit and enjoy the local café culture. From the town you can also take a boat trip to the stunning Iles Glenan, or along the O’det River, which is said to be the most beautiful in France.
If you are looking for more adventure and the chance to burn off the delicious breakfast that you bought from the campsite bakery, La Foret Fouesnant also has plenty to offer.
A walk into Port la Foret will take you to the local sailing and diving school, where English speaking instructors will guide you through beginner or more experienced level courses. You can also join surfers and body boarders in the sea and challenge yourself in the Atlantic waves.
Brittany is well known for its golf courses. The nearest to the campsite is Golf de Cornouaille, which is the oldest in Southern Brittany. Visitors are welcomed to play on the 18 hole course and it is possible to hire golf clubs and buggies from the clubhouse. Golf de Cornouaille is a picturesque course; with particularly impressive vies of Iles Glenan from the 9th, 10th and 16th holes.
La Foret Fouesnant is within the rugged Finistere area of Brittany. Central Finistere boasts the Monts d’Aree, a protected natural park containing a number of peaks that attract serious walkers. Roc ‘h Ruz, Tuchenn Gador, Montagne St-Michel and Roc Trevelez are four of the highest peaks, which all offer climbers the reward of stunning views across Brittany.
The region also has an extensive network of cycle routes, which will take you along the coast, through the forests and past traditional villages. Cycling is a great way to explore the local area and you can hire bikes and join the local routes in La Foret Fouesnant.
